Does anybody know the artist of the version of "Windy" in this soundtrack? It's a female singer, so it's not the famous male version from The Association from 1967, but it's also not the original Ruthann Friedman version on which The Association's version was based. (You can hear Ruthann Friedman's version on YouTube, currently.)
P.S.
The other song on the train, in case somebody who doesn't know their oldies was wondering, is:
Love Will Keep Us Together (Captain & Tennille, 1975, "Love Will Keep Us Together" album (5-1975), Neil Sedaka & Howard Greenfield)
P.S.(3 years later!)
I found the version of "Windy" that was in the movie. It's by Astrud Gilberto. Here are the songs I recognized from the sound system on the train:
Love Will Keep Us Together (Captain & Tennille, 1975, "Love Will Keep Us Together" album (5-1975), authors Neil Sedaka & Howard Greenfield, length 3:24)
Up, Up and Away (The 5th Dimension, 1967, "Up, Up and Away" album (5-1967), author Jimmy Webb, length 2:45)
Windy (Astrud Gilberto, 1968, "Windy" album (1968), author Ruthann Friedman, length 2:49)
