I love Session 9 and the Machinist but this movie is awful. The girl is one of the least likable characters in the history of the universe and embodies every negative stereotype of women that I can imagine.

The lying, the paranoia and stupid decision making by Jessie ruined the movie for me too. It was a struggle to see this to the end.

I don't get what's so unlikable about her? (before she gets herself into trouble, that is)
Born when she kissed me, died when she left me, lived whilst she loved me

Same here. The Machinist is one of my top 3 favorite films, but this was utterly disappointing and laughably asinine during some parts.

Couldn't agree more. About one hour into the movie I started wondering how it would feel to hit that woman in the face. She wanders through the rather messed up plot so irrationally and annoyingly, I almost screamed at the TV. Terrible, terrible movie, also hated how it was showing EVERY possible flashback so even the dumbest monkey would get it.
