I would LOVE to see a Mad Men movie, and was thinking a Mad Men Christmas movie would be pretty spectacular. The only thing I'm undecided on, is whether I would prefer for it to have a darker tone to it - kinda like Don - or whether it should be more uplifting (without being lethally sweet).
What do you guys think? 🙂

The "Christmas special" seems to be an ingrained feature of the culture of television in the UK that we in the US have mostly not experienced.
After the Star Wars Christmas special, small wonder.

The idea of a "Christmas special" for every show (no matter how incongruous its subject matter is with the sentiment and uplift of Christmas) strikes me as a distinctly English notion. The "Christmas special" seems to be an ingrained feature of the culture of television in the UK that we in the US have mostly not experienced.
