based on a Margaret Atwood novel (Probably Handmaiden's Tale)
That's
The Handmaid's Tale
, not Handmaiden's.
Good book, but I'm a little dubious about whether it will make a decent TV series. In addition to Elizabeth Moss as the main character (Offred), it also stars another
Mad Men
alumna, Alexis Bledel, of
Gilmore Girls
.

I don't remember now if you've seen Top of the Lake or not, but the first season was excellent! No idea of what to expect from the second season.
I read The Handmaid's Tale years ago, along with several other Margaret Atwood novels. She's a fine writer, but The Handmaid's Tale is a very dismal and depressing story. This may not bother you, and probably won't, as I know it's not a deterrent to you the way it is to me.

I wasn't very excited about it, but now I am. I was impressed by the trailers. At least visually it looks very good.
Also, Elizabeth Moss will be the lead in another show: Top of the Lake, in a role she already won a Golden Globe for.
Good for her.

Not a movie. New TV show. She'll be the lead.
It looks visually beautiful.
