I just prefer to know before I start a binge watch if a show tells a complete story or if it ends on an unresolved cliff hanger.

Araja1 is accurate. There is closure and resolution to all client relationships and the overarching story of the therapist. These endings are satisfying but in the way of chapters in a life unfinished. There is true dramatic integrity to this process observed and portrayed. It's pretty unique in structure, tone and content. Excellent casting, writing and perhaps an uncomfortable but appropriate heaviness that I find compelling.

Each season wraps up all the individual story lines, including the finale. Now whether or not they're wrapped up properly is subjective.
