And I'm hooked. First episode I was thinking, 'Will I be able to watch three seasons worth of this? Fictional therapy sessions?' Then somehow, it just got me. So simple in set-up and execution and yet very complex in emotion, depth and intelligence. It's like watching a psychological chess match each episode.
Gabriel Byrne really shines in this. Completely real. Nothing feels acted here which is a testament to the actors and writing.
I think I'm in it for the long haul. I just hope it keeps up the quality across its 100+ episodes.
