We're all aware of the Florence Nightingale effect:
The Florence Nightingale effect is a trope where a caregiver develops romantic feelings, sexual feelings, or both for their patient, even if very little communication or contact takes place outside of basic care. Feelings may fade once the patient is no longer in need of care.
So, in other words, it'll usually fade (especially under these circumstances involving initial stangers).
But what about "middle ground"?
For example, a neighbor who's known you (somewhat) for about a year.
Let's say you have eye-seizures one day, and you overhear her express sympathy over it.
Could this sympathy become something sexual? It's tough to tell (it could go either way).
Side note: My neighbor isn't 16. She lied, and confessed to being 22. True story.
I've knocked on the door many times, and she refuses to speak directly to me.
In the words of my doctor: "It's a girl thing".
