I think I'm in the majority when I say that Ponyo is my least favourite film by Miyazaki, but even then, I still really enjoy this film. I love the vibrant colour scheme in the animation, I love the charm to the film along with the relationship between the two leads. It's such a likeable and cute little film. I gave it a 9/10.
That says a lot about Miyazaki and how consistently great he is with his films and that he has only made good films and never a bad one.
Does anybody else feel the same way?

I agree! Worst by Miyazaki, but still better than most worst films

I agree with you there. Great colour, super animation but the story is weird. It feels they should have worked harder on the story.

Agreed. I'll take Ponyo over a lot of other movies. Animated or not.
Can't stop the signal.

I liked Ponyo more than Howl's Moving Castle. I think one of the reasons I like Ponyo so much is that you get to see a slice of living in modern day Japan that you don't really get from Miyazaki's movies. Also, I love the parts with the storms because I love storms.
I gave Ponyo 10/10 and I think I gave Howl's Moving Castle 8/10.
