I don't think that's what the OP is getting at. He saying they only had two stops so explain the rules to the rich boy and his friend shouldn't have made sense to them. Jules and Mel must have been planned to get dropped off separate from each other, but of course that means each of the guys would have gone with one of the girls. Rich Boy home with Jules and the meat-head with Mel.

It's quite obvious they don't want more than three girl ( or three guysnever mixed) at a time. Less people means that they are in control more.
