It's not Event Horizon or The Dark Side of the Moon. Basically, the movie is set on a spaceship where the ship's computer has full control over everything. When it starts to malfunction things get tricky until they finally figure out by the end (I think the hero is a tough girl) that the ship's computer has in fact been possessed by a demonic spirit that's taking them to hell. The crew tries to disable the computer but it starts killing them off as they get closer to its CPU room. Something like that. The girl tries to escape on a life-shuttle (like a lifeboat).
EDIT:
The people have spoken. It's Nightflyers (1987).

That's the one. I might just do that. I kept mixing up this title with The Night Flier (1997), the Stephen King's vampire horror mystery with the late Twin Peaks/Robocop's Miguel Ferrer. Anyways, thanks a bunch.

Nightflyers. Read George R. R. Martin's original novella and try to forget this execrable movie version.
Combine the space-horror of Alien with the homicidal computer of 2001: A Space Odyssey and you have Martin's Nightflyers, one of his more popular pieces of fiction. Nine academics embark on an expedition aboard the Nightflyer to find the truth about a mysterious alien creature, only for the crew to begin meeting their end one by one in some truly horrific ways. Not helping matters is the ship's "captain," who is never seen and doesn't seem too concerned for their well-being. This story was adapted into a feature film back in 1987, but the tension and atmosphere crafted by Martin is far superior to the version of the story that appeared on the silver screen.
