A few years ago, a film was made (a mystery, I think, about a detective) with a plot about the Tesla power plant at Niagara Falls, or Buffalo, NY. The film was waiting to be released. It has been quite awhile now, and I'd like to search for it, but I can't remember the name. Does anybody have any information?

It's about a young man who is building a business with his family. He is trying to emulate his role model, an American business man, who is already successful in this same business. The young man continually refers to this man, "we have to do it like Mr. ______", "that's not how they do it at ________". But their small business can't do things like this big American business. At the end, his family finally gets frustrated with him and tell him they have to do it their own way. And they do, and are successful. Help! This plot line has been rattling around in my brain for several weeks!

Could it be
The American Side (2016)
? Is it a period set film or contemporary?
