In the final scene at the end of finale, Sheldon (while on stage accepting Nobel award with Amy) asked his friends in the audience to stand up as he called their names individually. They also did that at the table read, but aren’t the PHYSICAL portion of the scenes, specifically for rehearsals? Was the standing up supposed to be an out-of-character salute and farewell, even though Sheldon (not Jim) called each character’s name and not their real names?
