Is it because humanity exists to make things better, to create new and better ways of doing things or having things be done? Boredom is like stress in that it is a negative feeling which Spurs us to action. As a species, is this not what we do?
We go to work to buy new, better things. We develop new and better technologies, but the initial effort is sometimes miserable. Yet we still endure these hardships to make life easier.
Perhaps Nimda created Filmboards because he was so bored with his life. Nimda's boredom and laziness created Filmboards. Nimda is bored and lazy.
Stop.

A product of evolution, as all behavior is. Perhaps boredom serves as a motivator to seek out new experiences. The human brain desires to learn, because knowledge enhances our effectiveness in real world situations. If boredom did not exist, then perhaps human ingenuity would not exist, and our species would have died out long ago.
