I would have bet cash money that when Sheldon was talking to Stephen Hawking at the end, it was really Howard doing his impersonation of Hawking in order to perk Sheldon back up.

Yeah, Howard was mumbling his lips with his fingers to make it sound like Hawking was talking. He made it sound like Hawking was interested in some of Sheldon's theories and looked forward to discussing them with him.

Oh, okay - - I'm not very fond of the Priya episodesespecially when Priya wanted Penny to keep her distance. Penny's one of my favorite characters, I didn't like seeing her hurt like that.

That is why I thought it was Howard at first impersonating Hawking. I am not sure which episode, but they mentioned that they fooled Sheldon before with this prank when they were having a meal in the apartment with Priya

Sounds logical, which Sheldon would have loved.but I saw Hawking's eyes moving when he was on screen, so it was really him.
Now, if I were Sheldon (GOD forbid) and I was upset about something (as he ALWAYS ALWAYS IS) and this nebbishy little creep who I wasn't sure was really my friend decided to impersonate someone I truly respect and admirejust to perk up my spirits, I'd push him in front of a train (which, again, Sheldon would LOVE).
