There were definite feminist undertones. It was obvious when Kristin Booth's character was hammering her husband from behind (lol) and she ignored his calls to stop or slow down, and when she came it was very reminiscent of a man coming.

It had a lot of feminist undertones, as well as manipulations and mind games. The whole movie had a dark and strange subtext about it. It wasn't just you. Almost as if by switching the roles of man and woman, they are preaching in a subtle way to get a point across- how men treat women or women can play that way too.
