The way they showed Ned Stark's sword, Ice, with the Stark theme playing, which then transitions to
Rains of Castamere as Tywin Lannister enters the room with a very sinister look, reminiscent of the greatest of sith lords.

That was great, also the peaceful opening of 6x7 The Broken Man was weird, for a moment I thought I was watching the wrong show.
So did I, to the extent I even checked to make sure I had the right channel.

Yes, I had the same feeling! But seeing The Hound come back was just awesome.

The pilot had a very good (and very) cold opening, but I agree that Two Swords' intro is unmatched.

That was the first one I thought of and what I was going to post until I read your description and knew I didn't have to, nicely put.
What else could compare? I thought Winds of Winter started too slow, I was getting antsy the first time through wondering when something was going to happen. Later viewings caused me to appreciate it all more but it still isn't quite as well sequenced as "Two Swords." HmmmI can't really think of another one I'd consider, though I bet I'm forgetting something.
