A true legend has died. What an incredible talent she was, and what a role model for women her character on the Mary Tyler Moore Show was, truly ground-breaking, and very funny too. She'll be missed.

So sad. My parents loved her show in the 70s. Her not getting an Oscar for a VERY different role in
Ordinary People
as an absolute bitch of an unloving WASPY mother has got to be one of the most noteworthy Oscar robberies in history.
