Not many solid independent pizza places around my way, so i usually go for the big pizza chain conglomerates, with Papa Johns being the best imo.

If you tip well they will show up on time, every time.
My local pizza place shows up within a half hour after I place an online order, all the time, every time, because I always tip at least $5. Except on extraordinary circumstances, like a Friday night during Lent when everyone in a 20-block radius is ordering pizza because they don't eat meat.

i haven't for about 4-5 years. i used to get pineapple + bacon with extra cheese and hand tossed crust. i've bought a few pizzas with grilled chicken strips + pineapple and that beep is way too heavy, and way too much salt, like 50x the daily recommended salt.
i don't go for deep dish or thin crust normally, though i do enjoy them. with thin crust I'll go for supreme.
i always tip at least $5, every time. that's just gas for the driver from getting from the store to your house and back, tipping less is beep up. plus i've known a lot of pizza delivery drivers, that job is aggravating and should only be done if you have a hooptie.
