Because everybody at that point would reflect on how broken the political system is. We have two completely garbage options for president. Something needs to change. If Trump is elected, maybe the call for a third party will finally happen.

Overall, I think they are both crap, but I find it funny how both campaigns are built around how crappy the other person is. Nobody talks about how good each person is.
