Nudity is a part of life. People need to grow up.
Personally, I found the scene where the lady agrees to shave her head for money to be more degrading than any nudity could possibly be.

That scene near the end where the blonde does the naked dance for the Swiss guy is borderline pornographic. No, it doesn't actually show her vagina, but her hair is cut in a way that is shows a little too much for an R rating. I was shocked.
You were shocked at what exactly? That scene could have been sub-PG 13. All it showed was a pair of boobs and a vagina from an angle where absolutely no details could be seen.

Men are more visually stimulated than women are. Men respond to the more graphic displays while women are more responsive to the romance/emotional aspect of sexuality.

Oh and I forgot another point! Look at all the documentaries that show vaginas during childbirth!!! I was watching one on Netflix and was shocked that the woman didn't demand for her genitals to be blurred out.

A bigger issue you should have is all of these women who are being forced to give birth for public viewing. I guess my wife was lucky that she had our children in a private room at a hospital.

Similar magazines of men were rare. I think now with the internet and maybe before with the porno film, things have gotten more equal, but for the longest time, female genitalia was more accessible to look at than male. I find it offensive that men find it offensive that R rated movies rarely show quick flashes of penises. Seriously, what is there to complain about???
I could talk about strip clubs too. Do men even take their bottoms off when stripping in the few such clubs that exist? Women do it enough, but yet men STILL complain about how so many clubs are topless only. Get over yourselves please.

You are missing the point. You men focus on ONE aspect that isn't fair, and that is that you claim men's sex organs are seen more. Isn't that mostly a matter of men having more obvious genitals? I don't think either should be shown in mainstream movies, but if we are arguing that the human body is "natural" and "innocent", which a lot of you like to argue, then the natural and innocent way to show it is a man's penis hanging for a few seconds from a distance while for a woman the equivalent would be pubic hair , or, if you must, a shaved vagina from a distance for a few seconds where you don't see anything anyways.
This is why I don't understand your arguments. In order to show female genitalia you have to get up close and personal and pornographic. Either you guys want "natural" nudity in movies like you argue for, which is shown equally anyways, or you shut up about it and watch a porno. Plain and simple.
As for it not being "fair" that a penis is more obvious to the eye than a vagina in a "natural" non porn nudity setting, well, let me share a list of examples of how things are more unfair for women, but nobody complains about it ever
-Genitalia or not, women's pubic regions have always been shown more than men's in many movies for decades now. For you to not act like pubic hair down there isn't private in itself is pretty obnoxious to me.
-Even back during conservative times of the past, women have walked around showing more than men. Watch movies from the 50s and before. Women show their legs from the knees down and are more likely to expose their arms and upper chests.for men that NEVER happened unless at the beach.
-Women now show a lot more than men do at the beach ever since the bikini came out, and bikinis are more likely to fall off whereas men's trunks have secure drawstrings. I can't believe people let their little girls wear that garbage when they are playing in the waves. Which sex of any age is more likely to have a wardrobe malfunction at the beach? Which sex is more likely to reveal private part outlines when their swimsuits are wet?
-Women for years have had to deal with going to male obgyns and everyone acts like they should shut up and deal with it. Men make the biggest fuss over female nurses examining them and talk as if women should be banned from seeing naked men when working in the hospital. This was even apparent in a lot of older movies, but yet again, men delivering babies was perfectly normal.
-On playgrounds or even at church, men constantly see the panties of little girls when they are wearing dresses and playing or even just sitting down. Little boys have never had the same issue.
-It is okay for women to bring boys into female restrooms and changing areas, but little girls are never allowed to see grown men undressing or going to the bathroom.
I could go further but will stop there. Don't lecture women on how an occasional quick flash of a penis in an R rated movie, isn't fair please

Seeing naked males doesn't bother me, but it is a point that, in few cases, we don't see the same amount of a woman's reproductive organ as we do a man's. We usually just see her pubic hair (or a merkin). That is the point which bothers a lot of people. If it were equal, we'd see vulva and all.
Personally, I think most nudity in main-stream movies is stupid. Most of it is done for ratings and has nothing to do with the story. The opposite is true as well. How many movies do we see where a couple is in bed after sex and the woman makes sure to hold the covers in place so her breast can't be seen? I get it if she's covering up because she's cold, but she's got it covering just her breasts and we can still see cleavage, the top of her chest and her shoulders all exposed to the cold.

I do shave but only when I have a partner (and even them not always).
IMO it's uncomfortable and unhygienic. Going natural feels better. Plus regular shaving gives you sore red bumps.
Also totally agree about men complaining when they see male nudity. Female nudity is EVERYWHERE, all the time. Male nudity is rare. Get over it men.

When I was 14-15 in the early 90s and there was hardly any internet porn to speak of, and pretty much none involving moving pictures, or certainly none that was watchable, and if you had access to the web in its infancy (I did not) it would take half a minute for one PHOTO to load up and slowly reveal itself to you on dial-up, I did in fact keep a mental record of all the more erotic and sexy scenes in mainstream films, as those were my main source of free sexytimes. Perfectly understandable. And when one of these treasured films would come on the telly, in popped the blank VHS tape, then very carefully put the recorder into Rec-Pause mode to avoid the horrendously loud clunking of the machine's start-stop mode, so as not to alert the parental units to my nefarious doings!
Aaah, those were the days! Damn, those VHS machines were loud - and slow! I missed many a start of a scene that way! The youth of today don't know how good they have it, and never will - well, at least not until Trump puts the entire planet back into the stone age and teenage boys will have to make do with cave drawings.

You see men complaining about movies not showing vaginas? I'd recommend you stop hanging out in places where teenage boys congregate. I'm a guy, 90% of the people I associate with are guys, I've talked to 1000's of guys about all kinds of things, honestly, nobody gives a beep about vaginas in movies.
I don't think I can list a single movie that shows a vagina, including this movie, that's because I don't remember or categorise nude scenes in movies, because I'm an adult.

I don't know why anybody would value a movie more or less because of its redundancy or lack of nudity (violence, rude language, ). A movie should use these syntactical devices to help portray a better experience for the audience.
If you want to see more nudity watch an adult film. If you get upset about it (and are old enough) grow up and expand your horizon.
I agree with you that getting rid of pubic hair is not natural, but neither is wearing shoes natural. Still, if you go out barefoot you might get looked at as being crazy. There are hundreds of other examples I could list (organ transplantation, using soap, wearing clothes all together, using any technical device (yes, I know, there are animals that use and build tools in wilderness), ).
This is a question of morality and it makes no sense to begin such an argument on such an internet board.

Listen Fella before watching a movie check the ratings by MPAA and if it the scene were shocking to you just watch Nickelodeon movies.

European movies have had graphic nudity, both male and female, for ages without the rating being high. It all depends on the situation. People walking around naked won't necessarily give you the highest rating, unless it's a specific case.
I don't know about other countries, but here in Sweden Wolf got 15- rating which is the highest rating. As was the case in U.K, I believe.
But a film like the Reader, for instance was rated "children-approved" which would correspond to G-rated. Meaning that the whole family could watch it together. Tough I wouldn't recommend it..
It's all a matter of context and how it fits the story.
Nudity has been prominent in Europe for ages. It's not until recently that America has cached up on it.
Nudity isn't really that big of a deal. We are really liberal about that. We are far more concerned about movies with violent content than showing piece of skin. it's not like children will take any harm of seeing a naked body.

While trying to watch this I wondered where the line is now between R and NC-17.
