<p dir="auto">When do you think we will have a serious presidential candidate who is openly gay? Let's assume he or she is in a stable same-sex marriage. I would say 20 years after a majority of Americans live in states that have legalized same-sex marriage.</p>

<p dir="auto">Honestly I think Democrats could elect a gay candidate right now. The problem is that it's a small field of people to choose from. Tammy Baldwin is the first and only openly gay Senator so far remember.</p>
