But there is more to Christianity than the story of Jesus, at least relating to the Bible. Remember that the Bible itself is pretty homophobic - think of that well-known quote 'Do not sleep with men, it's an abomination' (I am paraphrasing here). I would suggest, speaking as neutrally as I can, that it's attachment to dogma - relating to the Bible as a whole - that sparks homophobia on some people's parts.
