<p dir="auto">I thought he was assassinated but in reality he was murdered by a coworker. Still equally as sad, but I always thought he was assassinated because he was gay. It turns out the guy who killed him was crazy and mad at him for not doing what he wanted.</p>

<p dir="auto">Yeah, the motivation behind it and the target is what makes it an assassination and not simply a murder. The fact that Dan felt wronged about not getting his seat back and he felt Harvey was one of the reasons for this is why he did it.</p>
