I bought about 10,000 per week but the problem is that you can't store them so you have to drop them round your island which is a pain.
If you use the turnip prophet calculator and input your buy price and then am and pm sell prices it will predict what your price pattern will be. It's either fluctuating, small spike, large spike or decreasing. I got a large spike twice in about 6 weeks.
