Just watched 3 episodes and really like this spooky series.
The intro and the basic idea are great, as the cinematography.
Sometimes wished also to be partially brainwashed.
There are many open and hidden clues.
The huge face profile in the entrance hall of the dubious company Lumon Industries initially reminded me to Karl Marx, but didn't fit. The series was filmed at Bell Labs Holmdel Complex, New Jersey.
Alexander Graham Bell's profile fits better and makes the doorbell ring… maybe Philipp Reis.
However, the profile is intended to represent the fictional Keir Eagan, founder of Lumon Industries.
There is another Bell Laboratories Building in Manhattan/NY which partly housed the Manhattan Project, the first atomic bomb development during WWII.
Lumon/lumen = light/luminaire
The VIP card of the bar "Pip's" (pip = core or echo sign), he lives in Baird Creek Manor (Matthew Baird was co-developer of a spark arrestor), the WW-discussion in the sisterly friend's circle, the green-red candle, as often the complementary colors green and red appear (magnetic colors), constantly the blue (blue planet/water?), the address 499 Halfway Loop Road, the ex-CEOs Philipp "Pip" and Baird Eagan.
