I’m not really sure what that soup can is about to be honest. I didn’t notice it at the time. If I was still in York then I’d go back there tomorrow and have a look. I was focused on the Donald Duck toy…I wanted that but they were asking £55 for it.
Perhaps the window has a special weight mechanism in it and whatever was stolen from there was the exact weight of a can of tomato soup made by Heinz Ricky
To test that theory out you'd need to find the exact weight of the Donald Duck you like (Is it worth £55? I'm rubbish at these things) and quickly switcheroo the two and if no alarms go off you could easily just walk out the shop and nobody would be any the wiser
Obviously return it and tell them that their elaborate window security system is broken and you can prove it and that you are not a thief.
Have bobby film you do it too in case it turns sour before you can return it. Perhaps they have a better system overall and that soup can is one part of a much more sophisticated way of bypassing it
Yeah best not let people here see you and Bobby or else they'll be coming out with all sorts of weird talk Ricky
That can of tomato soup in the window doesn't look very vintage to me. Was that just the window dresser's lunch which they left out for a bit?
Anyways, shop looks great. Nice bit of creepy and a nice bit of happy - just like a vintage shop should be
I'm guessing Egon but it would be a newer set of GBers since they've done that now (Apparently!).
No. The cabinet still had all of the Robertsons Gollywog memorabilia still in! That was the weird thing. It had all sorts in like badges, plates, figurines etc…
Oh yeah it might have been, it looks like a ghostbusters action figure to me. I only noticed the doll. It had a bit of everything in, some old stuff, some not as old…a real bric-a-brac of an Aladdins cave of a shop.
It had a battered old Whizzer and Chips annual, a collection of old 70s UK Marvel comics, a couple of 70s signs from a shop…don’t know what shop.
Do you want to see what it looked like from the outside?
Somebody must have bought all the Gollywogs then Ricky and the cabinet wasn't much of an eyecatcher without them
Is that a Ghostbusters annual beneath your coconutwog (Sorry about the coconut thing, either the saying it or the not (
It looks fairly modern judging from the colour scheme used
Well if you look at the tag, it says ‘vintage golly’ and he’s 20 odd pounds. Maybe I should have bought him.
There’s a small museum in the upstairs of a collectibles shop in Blackpool. It’s got all sorts of memorabilia. It used to have a glass cabinet filled with Robertsons Golly stuff, but when me and Bobby last visited Blackpool we had a look upstairs in that shop and the Golly collection had gone. We saw it hidden away in the workshop bit out of eyeshot with a sign on saying ‘display cabinet for sale’.
Something about Suella Braverman and Richi Sunak being called them, or not called them, or something.
You should probably not let anyone see it or you'll be branded a Jim Davidson fan (Or Something).
…That all said you could just pretend it's a Gollywog that's a bit different and people will be fine with it. I mean who doesn't like Robinson's marmalades and jams?
I've spent more than a few Crimbos in the very warm shade of palm trees at the beach Ricky
I still watch freezing cold Victorian street urchins running around on screen saying "Gov'nah" while eating my chilled uni and wasabi bites and sipping local beer though
I've seen some kids dressed up at Halloween in places you'd never expect to
But, back to Blighty now and mustn't grumble, not I can drink hot wine or wider and eat pork pies without having to worry about maggots growing in them - oh! And a Doctor Who special on the day too

Well Bobby once spent Christmas on the beach…back when he was in Australia!
It was ok though because people were going around selling Santa hats for people to buy and feel more Christmassy.

That sounds like a great plan Siggy and remember…when Andor is on that beach resort planet, that was all filmed in Cleveleys.

Brilliant Ricky!
Well there we have it. Said song is an extra (Still keeps that emotional impact away from the kiddies if need be) and you can get the whole lot on a convenient package.
I might do it this Christmas and finally catch Andor while I'm at it

Allow me to be of assistance here Siggy!
Disney+ does indeed contain the version with said song, but you have to select it first from the ‘extras’ section before viewing.

There is a special release Blu-Ray with the song on it but between video and DVD the song was found to have too much of an emotional impact on the kiddies and so it was scratched from the DVD and Blu-Ray releases until the 25th/30th anniversary release just a couple of years ago.
The song itself is absolutely fundamental to the overall story in not only storytelling but it music overture tones. The film is still fabbie without it but far from what it is with it in
Believe me /., you'll thank me for making sure that is the copy you watch this coming Christmas.
I don't know if Disney+ has it on, but they do have a whole range of Muppet movies in their library and so ask a friend or do a bit of research to make sure it's the full version without spoilering any of the story (You probably know the story anyway, but just be careful
).

Thanks, I'll check it out this coming Christmas season.
The song you referenced is only found on a VHS release?
