I wish they had just used the real sound of jail door closing instead.<br />
I will have to give the show another go though, try and get the jail door image into my head when I hear that soundit might not be so distracting that way.<br />

<p dir="auto">Those of us "on the other side of the pond" kinda like that sound. According to Dick Wolf be was trying to mimic the sound of a jail door closing. Successful or not, it became a big part of L&amp;O here.</p>
