After they board ship there's a moment in the dining hall when Greg asks Victor (or the other way around, doesn't matter) about the time and Victor replies that it is 11:30. Meanwhile, the wall clock shows 8:20. Jess immediately checks her wristwatch and it shows exactly the same time as the wall clock: 8:20.
What is the implied importance of the wall clock being in sync with Jess's wristwatch? Also, all people in the dining hall at that moment come from the same "batch". How come their time is not in sync (8:20 for Jess vs. 11:30 for Victor)?
I'd guess that this is just another reference to the fact that from the very beginning she is not really one of them She's from the ship's "universe". However, this again raises the question of when her memory gets "reset" and she forgets what she is.

The wall clock as well as her watch are stuck at 8:17am. 8:17am is the time of the car crash. You can interpret that in a number of ways (e.g. afterlife, sci-fi, nightmare/psychosis, a combination of those, etc.), but that's what links them. Regardless of the interpretation, it indicates that Jess has become entangled with the Aeolus. If you're interested, peruse the following (warning: that post is 12-parts long and goes into a lot of rabbit trails not directly relevant to the film), including a matrix of all the events in the movie in a spreadsheet that can be downloaded from the second link.
