I don't know what category they fall in. One points to foreshadow, another to a detail. Are they trivia? I don't know.

    In the beginning of the movie, Jess finds a toy sailboat in the pool. It is on its side, but this foreshadows how their yacht will turn over later.
    Did you notice Tommy's yellow shirt? On the front, it has a solid black triangle with a space shuttle pre-launch on it.

They would both count as "Trivia", although Tommy's sweater/sweatshirt could also be put under "Movie Connections". The sailboat reference really needs a "spoiler" tag though: I can't remember how that's done off the top of my head, but it should be obvious when you try it.
I'm rather surprised no one's submitted Tommy's sweatshirt before (and I'm privately kicking myself for not doing it personally), as it's one of several elements in the movie that's actually a
triple
reference:

  1. It references Florida - the movie's setting. (The Spaced Shuttles were based at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.)
  2. It self-references the movie. (As you say, the design is based on a black triangle. AFAIK, the design is not based on an actual shuttle mission badge.)
  3. It's yet another reference to
    The Shining
    . (Tommy's "Space Shuttle" sweater is an obvious nod to Danny's "Apollo 11" sweater.)
