Yeah, you don’t look up the ending to the movie and then make the decision to watch or not based on that. It’s supposed to be a surprise, you don’t see coming. Having seen it without having it spoiled, it was a double-layered twist which was effective. It’s subverted expectations at least twice I think.
Regardless if it looked interesting to you, or not, you would have ruined the movie for yourself anyway. That was really not smart of you to do that. You will never be able to erase it from your memory and get the intended experience out of the movie.
