Just think we have two realities. One the higher ideals, mental or the Soul or the inner plane. The other the lower, physical or material plane. One is the thoughts, the idea plane, where ideas are formed. As we think our mind is in our head ( not really sure whether it is fully correct, even though Science thinks that), this is the 'above'.
Now, whatever we think in our mind, we take actions accordingly to bring it into our physical life. If we think we want to learn computers, we take effort to study that. If we think, we need to become a chef we go to a culinary school. If we think someone took advantage of us, we go to get revenge. This comes into our material reality. That is 'below'.
Now, because the inner plane or Soul is considered a speck of Divine, we can think, the above as 'God sitting in heaven' or the Soul space within us. So, whatever is the ideas/thoughts we have here, we get it manifested in our physical life.
So, in that sense, 'as above, so below'. If your ideas are good/ great, your physical reality would be same, good/great. If they are bad/evil, your physical reality would be bad/evil.
What reflects above is connected to that of what is happening as Is below
So as above /\ Is as so below
What ever takes place in the universes and stars systems is also
Keeping time and space for what happens on the mortal ground and the mortal ground is used to keep track Time and Space for The Matter of Wich is above
The next phrase is
As is Within is /\ is As So Without
Its a universal phrase that's like an almanac or key to speaking the universal language that connects all of our language
