I'm looking for old children's book, which I read 15-20 years ago. I don't remember any images, but I read book in Poland, although it could be (probably) American or English. The book is full of many funny stories and jokes.
The animals lives in the forest. They talks and tells different stories. The main character is (probably) badger, but remember talented composer (perhaps grasshopper). Talented composer listened silence, so other animals were amazed, because "when there's silence, we don't hear nothing". I remember dialogue about "eating herring with strawberries" and it was something in style example of the something terrible and disgusting.
