Wow, the story set-up took forever. 30 minutes in and nothing is happening. I gave up after the car chase/capture.
Anybody know how many action sequences there are in this movie? I'd like to use the fast forward button and skip past all the daughter's antics.

I doesnt matter since the actual action sucked anyway.

I somewhat agree with OP. I am an action guy and think most action movies should start with an action scene to get the story going. But I'll give T2 a pass because we get to see more of Bryan interacting with his family. The movie is pretty short so no action for 30 minutes in is a lot. Aliens didn't have action until like 45 minutes in. But like someone said the rest of the movie was action after 30 minutes.

the first 30 mins might as well have been replaced with Liam Neeson saying 'I'm really emotionally invested in these two people and the audience can see that now!' Then we could have moved on. Nobody watches a movie called Taken 2 for plot.
Typing that made me realise they really missed a trick by not calling it Taken Too. Could have been like the 90's all over again.

So you don't watch movies for plot?
You sound like you'd love the Transformers movies. They're basically 2 and a half hours full of non stop action.

Petty? 30 minutes is 1/3 of the film! Now, if I was b*tching about no action for the first 10 minutes, then that would be petty.

Given that the entire rest of the film is one long action scene, I think that's a pretty petty complaint.
"I'll book you. I'll book you on something. I'll find something in the book to book you on."
