Years and years since I watched this series but they made a bunch of episodes available on-demand and I gave the pilot a go. I have to admit that for a 50+ year old episode (which is a bit depressing to realise) it holds up very well.
Then you get to the credits at the end - Director: Steven Spielberg, Writer: Steven Bochco. That's a pretty good way to start a series!
Oh, and typewriters - so many typewriters clattering away.
I have always depended on the kindness of Strangers - and the bastards let me down!
