Is it me or does anyone else hate the house keeper?
She was a shrew and so rude to Columbo.

He got the one brother to start flipping out and pretty much confess. Case Closed.

I was also wondering after watching the episode, did Columbo really have enough proof in the end? It seems that his explaination was just a theory and cirumstantial overall, that will not hold up in court. Unless I am wrong?

I also found it hilarious and probably laughed the hardest at this episode than others possibly.

Absolutely! Maybe the funniest sub plot of any episode! Trying to fix the tv and pulls off the knob lol.

The housekeeper was played by the late Jeanette Nolan, a wonderful character actress known for her ornery roles. She was literally born to play evil witches. Check out her preformances in The Twilight Zone and Night Gallery to see her at her most terrifying!

I found that sub plot hilarious.

I thought she was wonderful. Without her character it would have been just a boring story about twins. She provided a lot of laughs and I liked the fact she wasn't afraid of Columbo but he was very afraid of her.

She is a very tiresome woman. All that fussing about cigar ash etc is very annoying. Columbo is extremely patient with her. i did feel a bit sorry for her at the end though, she was so fond of both those men, and finding out they ere both murderers must have been a terrible shock for her.
