Definitely in the running for worst of all time. It's Rhinestone bad.

No it didn't deserve better reviews. The film feels unfinished and it has by far the worst 3rd act that I've ever seen in a big budget Superhero movie. It's a terrible movie. And BvS got terrible reviews as well so your implication that it got off easy is silly.

The problem is not all of us were heavily into meth when we saw the movie, so we don't feel the same way about it as you do.

I found it tolerable. I like the actors, so I didn't hate the movie at all. Definitely thought it was better than BvS. I don't really know anything about the FF to know if the characters were way off etc.

Remember how Rotten Tomatoes works. Each critic gets an up or down vote. It doesn't have to mean that a 9 means that 91 percent of the critics hated it, just that they didn't like it. And there was a lot not to like. The characters had little to no chemistry, there was no middle act, and a truncated 3rd act with a forced ending. If you're a fan of the comic book, you'd hate what they did to the first family of Marvel. That's why we didn't like it.
