I agree the writing (and directing) sucked the past couple of seasons. It's kind of hard to ignore that. Looking back at season 1 and the early episodes of season 2 sometimes makes me wish Darabont was still around, although he is kind of overrated as well.
I am looking forward to the Whisperers now, If the show stays on that long! Another 2 years away from that?
I think so, yeah. They may speed it up a little bit and give us a little tease of them somewhere around the mid-season 8 finale, but I think they'll be introduced in season 9.

Spoilers have kind of ruined the show for me, (my fault). I enjoyed it much more when I didn't know what was coming next. I guess that's how many of the comic fans might feel.
The show really had an opportunity to make these characters more 3 dimensional, but I feel the writers.well meh, you know what I mean.

Most of the time I just cringe-watch it. But I do still enjoy some episodes.

I made friends with people on the board when I used to talk with them about the show, found out we had other interests in common and started talking about those interests when TWD didn't interest me anymore. I don't stay on the boards day and night as some people do, but if I'm just sitting around, in the mood to chat, and my real life peeps aren't available, then I pop onto the board. I'd rather do it on the board than give out my real email address because that implies a certain commitment and I have too much going on in life to do that.

What's the point in coming to boards to talk about shows that you're bored with and don't watch anymore?

I really don't anymore. I used to love it, the first few seasons. But it became so repetitive that I got bored. I don't watch it anymore.

Negan has breathed new life into, BIG TIME! And all the new communities coming into light. Like it's just getting started.
