Okay, poll closed. Horatio wins with 10 votes, closely followed by Styg.
My own choices were Styg, Klam and Jacky tying for first place, and Horatio and Morris tying for second.
Styg comes the closest to having a real style: his style defines him in a way that nobody else's does. Klam is not as much a stylist, but her style incorporates more thinking and more imagination. Styg's style cuts through to the essence of a thing; Klam's circles a concept or hypothesis sometimes, and generates new thinking. Philosophically, Klam is one of the best here. In terms of sheer correctness, Horatio actually makes fewer mistakes than either Styg or Klam, but he's not really a stylist. He writes functional English that gets the job done.
Jacky's style is very interesting, although I've only had a day or two to study it. Oddly enough, she writes better in the white heat of passion than when she's being self-consciously literary. She's not as committed to style as Styg, but she has terrific range. She can do cool satire, emotional celebration, and rapid-fire witty rejoinders with equal ease.
Damn, I forgot Corwin, who definitely goes in the top 4. A witty, clean, almost journalistic rather than literary style: rather like Styg's but cleaned up for Times or New Yorker publication (no salad tossing references). Incisive and brilliant.

True. Jacky was brilliant in that thread. Gameboy gets too hot under the collar (though he will deny it even as his beard goes up in flames) to be really effective. I think you have to be a Zen Buddhist to be a really good poster (I almost said troll).

Your elaborate and astute responses to Gameboy in that one thread were really good tho bc they have a lot of truth in it and u depicted it in understandable and imaginative ways.. I admire Gameboy's tenacity and steadfastness whenever a storm breaks loose on him, and fundamentally,he is fighting the good fight, but i wish he would take an advice or two from you, too sometimes because those could actually be of help beating his bullies eventually.

It's an entirely unsubstantiated accusation, with no evidence whatsoever to support it. Interestingly, though, John Tenniel (the illustrator for the Alice novels), illustrated quite a few of the most famous Ripper cartoons. I suppose, overall, 'twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gymble in the wabe.
