In the spirit of Halloween, I'm reading The House of the Seven Gables. I've been to the place a few times, once on Halloween night. The candlelit tour was given by the ghosts of the characters in the book. Since I can't make it to Salem this year and I'm really missing it, I'm finally reading the book.
If I finish before Halloween, I'll reread A Night in the Lonesome October.

About six books on liberalism by Alan Ryan. Also a book by Sheldon Wolin (on political theory) and a book on liberalism by John Gray. Gripping stuff.
