Drumpf is a sociopath. Negan isn't. Negan showed he had empathy twice. The first time after he picked on Carl and the second time after he picked on Olivia. When they cried, you could see the regret on Negan's face and he apologized.
(Still laughing when he came on to Olivia and she slapped him then he said he's more into her now. LOL.)
