Be careful what you wish for in regards to closer monitoring.
While I have seen a great number of trolls remain even though their posts have repeatedly been reported over and over
I have also seen quite a number of posts that were not trolls at all who have been deleted by admins for no discernable violations whatsoever.
I've come back to threads where I see the person I was talking to has had multiple posts removed and none of them were in any way remotely in any sort of violation.
"Closer monitoring" may very well result in whatever jackwagon asshat of an admin deleting even more innocent posts on a personal whim.

I agree. Sometimes I think IMDb is where trolls receive their training. I wish it was monitored more rigorously, but all you can do is ignore them.
