Just did a rewatch. This gets better for me every watch, and I think it's my 2nd fave now behind Hill House.
I wish Flannigan would come out with more series like this. I know he's working on a Carrie miniseries based on the Stephen King novel, but it seems that one has been done a couple times already.

If I recall rightly, '
Fall of the House of Usher
' (
1960, dir by Roger Corman, adapted by Richard Mathesson
) is one of Scorcese's longstanding favorites. Stephen King as well, has marked it as a fave.
Not sure why cable television is mentioned in this thread. Ah well.

Hill House was perfection. And yes would love a sequel. I did a rewatch of that one and Bly Manor last week. Bly Manor wasn't really scary, but more an eerie love story. It had a sad ending.

I have only seen it once but should probably watch again. I redid Midnight Mass a while back but Hill House will always be my favourite. It’s flawless.
You are right though. We need more properly creepy stuff. Bly Manor was ok but not horror. I want another Hill House #2

Usher and Midnight Mass are my favorites of his.
If you can’t say something nice, say something clever but devastating.

Midnight Mass is good. I probably need to do another rewatch of that soon.
Yes the original Carrie was perfect. Then they came out with a remake, about twenty years ago two part mini series. Also a movie and a sequel to the original.

Midnight Mass is my favorite of his series, but I need to rewatch this one. I really don't see the point in the Carrie series myself. They nailed that one the first time around.
