No, it really wasn't that bad.
It has its flaws, but for the most part it is an entertaining and unusual take on an alien invasion. I think people expect
the good guys to win or humanity to find some alien weakness to exploit. I think the ending credits helps to irritate people as that is the film they were probably expecting.
If you like fresh takes on established themes, and can forgive a few errors, then I think there is a good chance you will like it.
