I don't mind that this story is based on the true life, but sheeshdid they have to end the movie like that? It just ended with on climax, no resolutionnothing.
I would have enjoyed it more had they just made this fiction all the way with some sort of revolution to the problem.

I agree with your view on the ending. It ended perfectly because it's still IS a struggle over there.

I felt the climax was the young boy finally speaking. Sam was about to kill himself because he was so angry at everyone for not helping his cause until this little boy comes in. At first you think nothing is gonna happen, but then he speaks and he tells Sam "They forced me to kill my mother to save my brother and I", but even still he is not angry and he will not let them take his spirit. This inspires Sam to keep going, the young boy basically restored Sam's faith and he found a middle ground between taking care of these children and taking care of his family.
That moment is what restored the character for me. I started to hate Sam when he spent all of his family's money to support his cause, I wanted him to kill himself.
The ending was equally as great. Sam is faced with the same decision that broke his faith earlier, not enough space on the truck. Rather than picking who gets to live he stays to keep the kids faith not knowing if he himself will die waiting for them to return.
It just ended with on climax, no resolutionnothing
Life often has no resolution, but that does not make it an uninteresting story. What did you think of the ending to No Country for Old Men?
And another thing, I hate it when people don't separate their signatures from their posts.

Something was missing in this film and maybe it was the lack of a climax. It was sort of flat all the way through.
