I can put the acting aside, I mean it's not an all star cast so I don't expect an all star preformance. That's fine. The story was interesting, but I can't say I liked many of the characters enough to feel for them. I felt slightly sad for the "widowed" pregnant young lady but I just didn't like her character enough to feel any reall true empathy towards her.
Then when he came back her lashing out at him was I guess slightly understandable, but the cop on top of that(character I liked the least)I just couldn't. This man literally came from a super natural world that he was trapped in, you found animal pieces in his digestive track and you go to town on this dude? No, I'm sorry no.
The sister was not all that enjoyable for me either, I get she had a usage problem but I feel like the movie relied too heavily on people not trusting her due to it. There were a lot of in your face moments before the actual reveal in which I would have stopped and thought "OH crap maybe she wasn't lying", but nope.
The ending.
Was far from a happy one, and that much I enjoyed. However I felt like nothing got sorted, and this is personal taste. I'm just not a big fan of open endedwell endings unless the movie itself is thought provoking. To me this was not thought provoking, intriguing concept but not thought provoking.
All in all it was a decent watch but I can't tell if I like it or not. I wouldn't recommend it.
