As an engineer myself, I love the part where Eric talked about the bridge he built had saved 1,531 years in people's lives. Just goes to show these finance people make the big bucks but do nothing but screw people over, at least being an engineer you are contributing to society.
To me, this film is very anti-capitalism, but in a very subtle way.

Wrong. Financial service firms are overseen by OCC, FRB, FDIC, SEC, CFPB, And Finra to name a few. A lot of bankers have CFA designations which require compliance with the CFAI code of ethics and standards of professional conduct. Most people are good but a few are bad. Same as any industry.

I disagree. Engineers have a code of ethics to adhere to (like doctors) because they are dealing with public safety. There are governing bodies that oversee professional misconduct. They cannot purposely do things that would endanger people's lives. Finance people don't have a code of ethics, they can do whatever they want with people's money.

it is anti capitalist, but people who work in big oil companies and call themselves engineers are the same as these finance people. If you think you are contributing to society u r quite delusional
