super slow pace, super corny dialogue, embarrassingly bad acting. Out of cyriosity I checked on the director and uts the same dude who did Lost At Sea another film with these same problems.
as experimental films these might be ok but definitrly not something that should be playing on television

I saw a portion of the middle of Margin Call. First there was a meeting in a boardroom lead by Kevin Spacey and they say it's about 2am. It was followed by a meeting led by Jeremy Irons where Kevin Spacey explains how the company will sell everything by noon and then the Feds will show up at about 2pm. It was not that interesting. The office scenes in "Margin Call" are vaguely reminiscent HBO's "Barbarians at the Gates" starring James Garner. I unequivocally recommend Barbarians at the Gate to anyone who liked Margin Call.

Jesus what bizarre standards some people have. Let's try it again - the pace isn't that slow considering almost every scene has some dramatic tension, understated as it may be; the acting is competent to excellent across the board (in particular, it was good to see Spacey on top form after a while); the dialogue sounds as if the writer/director really knows the territory and what he's talking about. And All Is Lost (not Lost At Sea) is also a rather outstanding film. Whatever this Chandor guy does next, I wanna see it.

"Should be playing on television"? What are you, the censor?
I liked both of those films a lot. Different strokes for different folks, but your tastes shouldn't foreclose my seeing things that match mine.
