I have no idea how many episodes were ordered by Discovery but I am assuming the season is almost over. I also have no idea how well the show did in the ratings especially with a new cast.
Bill being unbearable in the first few episodes probably didn't help things. I am wondering what everyone else thinks and/or knows about the show getting renewed for another season. I am hoping that Discovery still wants the show otherwise why bother hiring new guys when they could have just gotten rid of it last season after Joe went crazy and murdered CatDog?
I know the show's not perfect but other than Survivorman there's not much else out there in this genre so I want the show to stick around. "Dirty Rotten Survival" is growing on me but at this point I still like this show more.

Unless Discovery changes their mind about Dual Survival, and it has happened before, there will be a next season.
Thank you. I tried looking at Tvbythenumbers and couldn't find any info.

Tonight's episode is the last of the regular episodes. Next week is a new behind the scenes special, which I believe finishes off the season.
The ratings for the first seven episodes averages about 1.052 million viewers per episode. I didn't do the math, but it looks like it's down by about 500,000 viewers from last season.
According to the description of the behind the scenes special next week:
Get an inside look at what it takes to shoot a season of Dual Survival in the world's most challenging terrains. Never-before-seen footage of Grady and Bill is revealed, along with crew interviews and a sneak peak at the next season.
Unless Discovery changes their mind about Dual Survival, and it has happened before, there will be a next season.

I agree about Bill, I'm still a loyal fan of the show and will still watch all the new episodes but I just don't think this duo will be a hit with viewers. I mean does Grady even do anything of value to speak of?
I hear ya, jettcobain. I have been a loyal fan since day one. Sadly not this season. I mean, a tv personality is either watchable or they're not!

100% least likable pairing, no question. I was rewatching some old eps, and wasn't the biggest Dave fan, but would take him over these two any day. I have found it impossible to sit through Bill and his whiney, baby-speak and that accent (wherevertheheck he's from) just makes me cringe. I was a Joe fan regardless of his machismo arrogance. But he was sure of himself, something I'd want from someone I'm stranded with. I have deleted all the new eps that I'd been recording. Just can't do it!

Good question. I'd like to see these two get another season. Whether it will or not is anybody's guess. I heard they were developing a show for Matt. Maybe they will figure out the pairing for drama doesn't go well with people like us.
I love Dirty Rotten Survival, but that's more of an improvised camping/road trip show, as opposed to a survival thing.

I guess I really didn't answer your question in my last post Arbuckle, so here's my take. The general consensus just from reading through this board, is that it's not looking good? This survivalist pairing seems to be the least popular so far. I know that many of the fans didn't like Joe, but it seems that enough liked Cody and Matt, that the addition of Joe wasn't really a deal breaker at that point.

Thanks for the info. I did a quick search on Youtube and found a few episodes. Hoping to get a chance to watch a few by the weekend.
It was a decent show rickathedj. I watched the entire season because it followed another show that I was watching (I think it was Alaskan Bush People?). The couples appeared to be really struggling, in fact, one of the couples dropped out almost immediately, so I don't think that there was any fakery involved in this show.
The German girl in the replacement couple was rather cute imo, and had a pleasant personality.

Is there a new men woman wild show?
Yes there is rickathedj. The first season has finished up. Have no idea if it will be renewed or not? There are 3 couples simultaneously sent to 3 different places on the globe, so they never come in contact with each other. Here is the IMDB page:

I'm not a big fan of the gimmicky survival shows like Naked and Afraid. Is there a new men woman wild show? I kind of liked the old Man Woman Wild in that they talked about researching the area they were going to so they would know the local edibles.

Oh sure, you still have the naked and afraid, and the new men women wild shows, but to me at least, these shows really fall more into a sub genre of the survival category, and don't really compare to Survivorman or this particular show.
You're right. Both of those shows seem to focus on how well the couples get along so 90% of the show is arguing. I tried to watch a couple of episodes of "Men Women Wild" a while back. One of the episodes was ok but the other one was essentially an hour of some guy berating his girlfriend about everything. Maybe there was stuff edited out but from what I saw she didn't do anything wrong and it was his own failure as a man that was causing him to needlessly lash out at her. From what I remember he even blamed her for him not being able to start a fire. Naked and Afraid is hit and miss but I don't really care for it.

Good question Arbuckle? My understanding is that the show was actually canceled last season, but then Discovery decided to renew it at the last minute. So if it doesn't do well this season, then this may very well be it for the show?
But you're right in that there really aren't very many shows that fall into this category anymore. Oh sure, you still have the naked and afraid, and the new men women wild shows, but to me at least, these shows really fall more into a sub genre of the survival category, and don't really compare to Survivorman or this particular show.
I've been watching dirty rotten survival lately, and I like it, but it isn't really a survival show per se.
