No spoilers.
The film's message could be summed up as, be happy and content with yourself. It's also delivers the message not to take things for granted.
All of the high-ranking men look a certain way here. And act a certain gross way. The women cannot afford that luxury.
There are a couple scenes that are tearjerkers. One scene involves this nerdy but nice guy and another involves a magazine cover.
The film is really saying something. There's this scene where a mother hides her little girl's eyes because of what they're seeing, when she didn't have any issue with
something else
they're seeing.
But anyway, Demi's final scene, IT'S SO EMOTIONAL.
It doesn't dumb down any scenes either. It allows the audience to think for themselves.
I predict, as of now, this will win Best Picture at the Oscars. That may change.
It will, without a doubt, win Best Makeup. It has that locked in as far as I'm concerned.
And, you won't get this from the trailer, but this is bloody and gory. People have left my showing early.
There's even a scene that pays homage to the Carrie prom scene with the pig's blood, except" moore" blood.
Never lose your desire.

It means a lot more than you might think.
I don't have the attention span to sit through a bad movie. What gets me to see a film in the cinema is the positive hype/reviews surrounding it. I like the art and themes a great film presents. I always check Rotten Tomatoes before I see one. If Rotten, I don't even bother.
Sometimes it's disappointing if I anticipate a movie for a year, then it turns out it's Rotten. That happened with Batman vs. Superman. I'll still see them but not on opening day. I'm still a little disappointed Joker 2 didn't review as well I hoped. I was hoping for a masterpiece.
The Oscars is the best advertisement. It gives a list of films you know are guaranteed not to be awful.
I think like a critic so if I am blown away by a film, then I know it's going to get positive reviews.

The Oscars is an overrated meaningless award anyway.
It amounts to the exact same thing as a participation trophy.

It's a horror movie. It's not winning the Oscar.
