I just figured they didn't have enough ideas for one story. And they already had vampires before (although it's not exactly the same thing with the characters this season, but they're similar).
I've watched the first three episodes of the season. I'm curious what happens next, but I noticed it seems more contrived than usual, with characters doing things that don't really seem natural, just to advance the plot.
Update: The first part only had six episodes, but it still wasn't done very well. It had some interesting characters, but it was pretty repetitive and the finale was bad.

All seasons are too long and drag out halfway through, they simply don't have enough material to justify so many episodes. They should be about 4-5 episodes per season and leave out all the bs filler and nonsense that contributes nothing. Maybe that's what they are trying to do with this season by having 2 stories going on. I watched half the first episode and it was pretty dreadful in my opinion, haven't much motivation to watch the rest at this point.

The only scene I remember with her in it was when she was having sex with a guy and telling him all the vampire rules. The acting seemed wooden in that scene. But I think she won an award for her role, so I assume her acting got better later on.

I thought it would have been a lot better with Gaga being in it, but it was kinda meh. She did amazing with her part tho.

I forgot this show existed! I tried so hard to enjoy this, but some seasons were either boring or straight up ****ing weird. I remember with hotel and that guy or whoever getting drilled in the ass by what I remember being a pointy metal dick. Who wants to see that kinda **** on a horror show?
